Join a Gangsta Granny for Cabbage Soup, a Sorcery School for a Magical Adventure, meet some new Zoo Friends, and maybe grab a Milkshake!
Aylesbury Waterside Theatre is ready to put some sunshine into the summer months with summer shows for all the family.
Then watch out! David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny is coming to town Thu 28 – Sun 31 Jul. When Friday night comes along, Ben knows it only means one thing – staying with Granny! There will be cabbage soup and cabbage cake, but what Ben doesn’t know is that Granny has a secret – and Friday nights are about to get more exciting than he could ever imagine! Gangsta Granny is a must-see for families; both laugh-out-loud funny but also with moving and truthful things to say about families.
The stage is set for Milkshake! Live (Mon 29 Aug) as Monkey puts on a spectacular new show joined by some of his favourite Milkshake! friends plus two presenters creating the most dazzling show you have ever seen! Join Paddington, Daisy & Ollie, Milo, Noddy, Pip and Posy and Blue’s Clues for an unforgettable time. Learn amazing songs and dances with your favourite Milkshake! friends and watch as the music, the lights, the costumes and the stage brings Milkshake! to life.
Have you visited the theatre’s Norman Bragg Studio yet? The smaller studio space is perfect for engaging, up-close theatre and has two fantastic family shows taking to the stage in the coming months. Hexwood School of Sorcery (Thu 25 – Sat 27 Aug) is a spellbinding new musical telling the story of Maisey Hexwood who is about to follow in her family’s footsteps and begin her studies in Sorcery – the only problem is, she isn’t very good at magic! This mischievous adventure is set to have young wizards gripped! Then, featuring puppetry, live music and playful characters, The Zoo That Comes to You (Sat 3 Sep) follows the attempts of two animal enthusiasts to share their love of and concern for animals as they discuss their life experiences and the challenges they face in a rapidly changing world dominated by humans. An adorable production for young audiences.
