Built in 1888 by William Lever to house the factory workers at his Sunlight Soap factory, Port Sunlight was a radical vision to provide a healthy and beautiful place for working-class people to live and work. Some of the leading architects of the late 19th and early 20th century contributed towards designing the blocks of Arts and Crafts-style cottages which line its leafy streets, with no two houses being the same.

Today, Port Sunlight is home to over 900 Grade II listed houses, stunning gardens and parkland, a fascinating museum, a world-class art gallery and a thriving community.
