Gordon Rigg’s is one of the leading garden centres in North England, with operations in Todmorden and Rochdale. In their last garden centre survey, Which? Magazine voted it the best garden centre in the North of England (second in the UK).
The owner, Peter Rigg, explains: “After 77 years in business, it’s fantastic that Gordon Rigg continues to thrive as a business. We are still very much a family-run firm built on the same values that formed the company’s foundations back in 1945.
Peter adds: “Today, customers come from all over the North of England, and keen gardeners will visit us from across the UK. People are continually surprised by our vast product range and the size of our garden centres. This is particularly true at Walsden, which covers a huge floor plan, and often, people can spend up to half a day with us shopping and enjoying lunch in our café or tea room. ”
Also located at the Todmorden branch, we have our Bottom Mill Shop, selling an array of gift items, clothing and DIY products and Rigg’s Farm Shop, which offers the best quality local and regional produce, including butchery, cheese and delicatessen counters, freshly baked bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, plus all of your daily essentials, as well as a comprehensive range of small vineyard wines and locally brewed ales. Truly a great day out with something for everyone!
