Ready for its 70th anniversary in 2025, New Quay Boat Trips celebrates seventy years on the sea by building its finest passenger boat yet.
‘Suncatcher’ is the first double-decker boat in West Wales; she will offer a new experience in multi-passenger dolphin Spotting for Cardigan Bay. Her design owes much to her supremely successful predecessor, Island Cruise, designed by Angus Dunlop of Tenby Boat Trips and Stuart Davidsen at Blyth. She is the product of many years of experience in what passengers want in a passenger boat. Suncatcher builds on the success of the smaller Dreamcatcher, which carries only 12 people.
The new dolphin spotting dream boat will have the distinction of being the first ever Blyth, twin deck catamaran in the country to offer a ‘walk over wheelhouse’ providing passengers with an unrivalled forward view from the upper deck where you can watch the dolphins bow riding but also get uninterrupted 360-degree views of the coastline without any wheelhouse or roof.
The main deck offers abundant shelter from the rain with the addition of an enclosed passenger area serving hot drinks and snacks perfect for colder seasons. Suncatcher has been designed with more seats than passengers, so there are always empty seats for you to move to as you explore what she has to offer. An altogether unrivalled experience awaits you in Cardigan Bay.
New Quay Boat trips offer several sailings and options, so set sail, and enjoy a brilliant Dolphin Spotting trip, and take in all of the local wildlife.
