The perfect festive experience begins with a drive through the breathtaking scenery of the Derbyshire Peaks. The town has a rich and diverse history dating from Roman times onwards. In the Georgian era development focused on the natural spring waters that flow into the town and some beautiful and well-preserved architecture from that period remains.

But it’s not just shopping and dining that brings visitors to Buxton. The jewel in its crown is its stunning Opera House, built in 1903, which annually stages an acclaimed professional pantomime.
