The peregrines have produced four chicks again this year and we are partnering with the RSPB again to ring them and share their story.
We have already installed new HD camera that are relaying nestbox action down to monitors up in the Tower and in the Cloisters. What’s new this year is that we have set up special Tower tours with Anya Wicikowski, their community engagement officer to run throughout June. Ideal for anyone who wants a mix of behind-the-scenes of the Cathedral story telling with some Peregrine insights.
We’ll also be partnering with the RSPB on the Date With Nature project again – once the peregrine chicks are ringed and the fledging process begins, visitors can join expert volunteers in the RSPB marquee on the Cathedral’s West lawn, where there will be telescopes set up for peregrine spotting.
