Dartfield Equestrian and Heritage Centre is conveniently located on the N6 between Ballinasloe and Loughrea, just a few minutes off the Motorway M6.
Dartfield is an ideal stop over to take a break from a long drive and visit the Museum and Art/Antiques Gallery and watch Master Blacksmith Stephen Quinn at work. The Museum features all aspects of farm life and work in the old times that involved the use of horses and the history of hunting in Ireland as well as a Veterinary Gallery.
You can relax with a cup of tea or coffee in the Coffee Shop and browse the Tack/Gift Shop or take a walk through the farm and fields and see the Horses, Cattle, Sheep and Goats.
If you have some more time you can enjoy horse riding, clay shooting or watch a sheep dog demo. Those activities need to be pre-booked. The attraction is set in 350 acres of land for riding out which also include a Cross Country Course for the experienced riders.
