Senior Traffic Commissioner Richard Turfitt and Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Chief Executive Loveday Ryder will be holding a joint presentation at the Confederation of Passenger Transport’s Compliance Workshop on 12 July.
An event exclusive to CPT members, Richard Turfitt and Loveday Ryder will update attendees on the latest news and developments from the Office of the Traffic Commissioner (OTC) and the DVSA. The speakers will inform attendees about how their organisations will be working together more closely for the benefit of the bus and coach industry. At the end of their presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.
Loveday Ryder became Chief Executive of the DVSA in January 2021 and has previously served in senior roles in organisation design, performance improvement and programme delivery in the public and private sector. Richard Turfitt has been in the position of Senior Traffic Commissioner since 2017, having been Traffic Commissioner for the East of England since 2008.
CPT’s Membership Director Christopher Nice had this to say:
“I’m really pleased to confirm that both Loveday Ryder and Richard Turfitt will be joining CPT at the Compliance Workshop on 12th July. It is great to have two high-profile speakers providing updates on the latest news and developments from the OTC and DVSA and finding out how we can all work together more closely to help our industry thrive.
“CPT members will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions at the end of the event, so I encourage you all to make the most of this opportunity and join the Compliance Workshop. We are looking forward to hearing from them both.”
Loveday Ryder had this to say:
“I’m delighted to be presenting at CPT’s Compliance Workshop, updating attendees on the latest work and developments from the DVSA. I look forward to introducing myself to CPT’s members and discussing how we can work together in the future, to help our bus and coach industry thrive as we exit lockdown.”
