One of the UK’s most popular heritage attractions, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) has announced its eagerly anticipated 2021 season and will open the heritage line and stations for pre-booked group bookings once more from Saturday May 15th.
Preferential rates for group bookings are available and must be pre-booked. To ensure the safety of all passengers, the NYMR has reduced minimum group numbers to 15.
What better way to explore the North of England and the beautiful vistas of the North York Moors National Park than on board Britain’s favourite Heritage Railway? Sit back, relax and take in some of the best views the UK has to offer with a journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Whatever the weather, groups can climb aboard a steam train and experience 24 miles of stunning scenery including heather moorlands, ancient market towns, steam era themed stations, bustling harbours, and even the filming location of the iconic Harry Potter village of Hogsmeade from the Philosopher’s Stone.
The railway will be operating two trains to Whitby every day, as well as an intermediate service between Pickering and Grosmont. The NYMR is planning to operate with Covid-19 mitigations, until the summer holidays, with pre-booked end to end services with a set departure and return time. The railway’s intermediate service, between Pickering and Grosmont, will enable passengers the opportunity to hop-on and hop-off and explore Levisham, Goathland and Grosmont stations.
All services will be released as a staggered approach, in line with government guidance and all passengers aged 16 years plus, unless exempt, will be required to Track & Trace, adhere to social distancing and wear a face covering.
