Following the success of the 2023 Spalding Flower parade that made a comeback after a ten-year break, plans are now in motion for the 2024 event, which will take place on the 11 and 12 May 2024 in the heart of South Lincolnshire.
The most significant change next year is that the event will be over two days, with the traditional parade on Saturday and a static display of the decorated floats on Sunday. As an added attraction, on Saturday night, there will be an illuminated display until 11 p.m. with all the floats decorated with thousands of coloured lights.
The 2023 parade attracted over 200,000 visitors and was organised purely by volunteers. More than 40 coaches arrived from every corner of the country. Event organiser Steve Timewell said,’ The event was incredible and much more than I expected. I can’t wait for next year’s event, which will be even bigger and better.”
Coach parking: Dedicated pre-booked coach parking will again be available for the event. More to follow in the coming months.
