An exceptional evening was had by all at the recent ‘relaunch’ of the Best Western Heronston Hotel & Spa following a multi-million-pound refurbishment of public areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and function suites.
Local businesses, dignitaries and celebrities were invited to attend this early evening event, with drinks followed by a feast of cured meats, local cheeses, homemade sausage rolls and scotch eggs on display on a grazing table with delicious mini desserts displayed on another table. A Harpist played in the background while a caricature artist and table magician moved around the room.
Lee Jukes a presenter on Bridge FM, Radio Carmarthen & Radio Pembrokeshire hosted the evening, Rob Howley ex Welsh International Player and coach spoke about growing up in the area and how he has used the hotel on numerous occasions, how he loved what had been done with the refurbishment and spoke about his career in rugby so far then opened the floor for questions!!
General Manager Carolyn Powell, thanked everyone for attending and made special mention to the hotel owners who continued with the refurbishment during the COVID lockdowns and main contractor C&D Maintenance. She also introduced her team to the guests attending.
The night was finished with a set from Amelia Lily X Factor finalist, singer and reality TV star from Celebrity Big Brother and Geordie Shore where she sang her hit single ‘You bring me Joy’.
The guests were amazed by the transformation, loved the new bedrooms and were delighted with the food served with many stating it was amazing. – A good night was had by all who attended.
Cllr Tim Wood, Mayor 22/23 BTC and Borough councillor said ‘what a fantastic job that they have done on all the rooms. Congratulations to everyone involved … and you should see the pool area and spa treatment rooms … WOW! Such a lovely night and we met lots of very nice people’.
