Celebrate the British car this Summer at the  British Motor Museum!

The British Motor Museum is celebrating the British car this summer from 23 July – 4 September with a festival of family activities! 

Different workshops are running Tuesday – Thursday each week throughout the summer holidays, with activities including building British cars with LEGO®,  creating your own card Land Rover, Mini or E type Jaguar and creating a car out of balloons.  Visitors can also explore the Museum by becoming a reporter with the family newspaper trail and meet the costumed explainers who bring to life motoring from different decades.

New for this summer is the Family Festival, a fun-filled family day of art and science activities on Sunday 31 July. All themed around the great British car, there are plenty of hands on workshops and drop in activities to keep everyone entertained including Keep Calm and Carry on British Car Making, Balloon Modelling, Story time with Veronica Lamond, the author of ‘Landy’, Come and meet Mr Carter & Jim the bus driver, Drumming with car parts, Compton Verney – Beyond Bush crafts, Clay model making with Aardman, 25 Brick Challenge and Augmented reality with Computer Xplorers. Admission price and entry to the Family Festival includes time to explore the Museum.

Families can take advantage of the Museum’s great value offer, that if you buy a family ticket at £39 and Gift Aid it, you receive a year’s season pass at no extra cost, so that you can come back time and time again to enjoy all the school holiday activities (terms and conditions apply). Children under 5 are free. All the school holiday activities are included in the Museum admission price. All workshops are suitable for 3+ years but guardian supervision is required at all times. Although visitors can drop in on the activities, it is recommend you check on arrival as during busy periods the activities are on a timed ticket basis and will need to be booked. Places are limited and are subject to availability.
