To coincide with National Apprenticeship Week (5 to 11 February), Daish’s Holidays, a UK-based coach holiday provider, has opened its apprenticeship programme to its 516-strong workforce in a commitment to fostering continuous growth and development within the company.
Seven employees have enrolled in an apprenticeship course, which will provide them with comprehensive training to ensure they stay abreast of industry developments and deliver the best experience to guests. Various course options are available within the operations, kitchen, and front-of-house teams, ranging between Level 2 to Level 5 qualifications.
Ella Bentley, trainee duty manager at The County Hotel in Kendal, is working towards a Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor apprenticeship. She said: “The opportunity to increase my skills through enrolling on an apprenticeship provides me with a positive step forward in my career with Daish’s Holidays. Through the hands-on experience and mentorship, I will be gaining invaluable hospitality knowledge, and I’m looking forward to completing my apprenticeship and progressing in my career.”
Paul Harper, commercial director at Daish’s Holidays, added: “Our apprenticeship programme is designed to not only enhance the skills of our workforce but also to create a culture of continuous learning. We are dedicated to supporting and encouraging our employees with their career journey, and an apprenticeship through our in-house Training Academy is a great way to do this. We are proud to invest in home-grown talent and look forward to seeing the successes of this year’s candidates.”
Apprenticeships at Daish’s Holidays are also open to non-employees, and courses include Level 2 Hospitality Team Member, Level 3 Team Leader, Level 4 Hospitality Manager, Level 5 Operations Manager, Level 2 Production Chef, and Level 3 Senior Production Chef. These positions are available in Blackpool, Bournemouth, and Torquay.
