Eyam Museum tells the story of the famous ‘plague village’ of Eyam and how a remarkable sacrifice in 1665 spared the surrounding towns from the Plague.
The museum goes on to tell the story of the village through the ages, with exhibitions showing the growth and decline of local industries and a special exhibit showcasing items from the museum’s collection that have never been displayed before, each relating to a different part of Eyam’s history.

They offer an idyllic setting for your trip, with beautiful countryside and historical sites to explore.
The museum runs regular guided tours of Eyam, during which you can learn more about this historic village before relaxing in one of the three charming cafes or village pubs.
Group bookings of 10 or more are offered a reduced admission rate plus free admission to group leaders and coach drivers. Coach parking and public toilets are located directly opposite the museum.
