Holme Grange Craft Village in Heathlands Road, Wokingham, is a must-visit destination featuring an array of unique, independent shops and lots of crafting inspiration. With shops, workshops, salons and a coffee shop, there is always plenty to keep everyone happy from young families to retired couples.

Packed full of small, independent shops set in a series of converted barns within the Berkshire countryside, the eclectic mix offers something for everyone from interior design and a florist to a boutique hairdressers and popular beauty salon. As records enjoy a resurgence in popularity there is a vinyl shop, a Christian bookshop, a dressmakers, children’s clothing shop and a bag shop.

There is also a wealth of activities and workshops taking place on a regular basis from pottery-painting to flower arranging. There is a craft shop with ever-changing stock so there is always something new to see, a glass studio which runs classes for adults and children, a silver jewellery shop which holds jewellery-making classes and workshops and Brickies which run Lego workshops and parties. The light and airy bakery offers a wealth of tasty treats on their ‘deli-style’ shelves as well as workshops and birthday parties. They also joined forces with Delights of Italy to feature Italian produce and is the location for pasta and pizza making workshops and parties.

Set in beautiful rural surroundings, parents can enjoy browsing in the shops while their children are entertained in one of the classes before all coming together to enjoy refreshments at the coffee house which features breakfasts, coffee and cakes and hot bites and sandwiches. And as a special treat when leaving, step back in time and choose some old-fashioned sweets from The Sweet Cabin. The newest additions to the Holme Grange ‘family’ includes Absolutely Mintage, offering upcycled furniture and accessories as well as the popular Frenchchic chalk paints. Sewisfaction is a haberdashery stocking materials, wool and accessories as well as running classes and workshops while AntiqArt displays a range of paintings and objet d’art.

Events planned throughout the year include an Easter trail, a vintage day in June and animal antics in the summer with an array of visiting menagerie. This year the village celebrates its Silver Anniversary on Saturday 16th September with a family fun day as well as a Macmillan coffee morning before our big Christmas finale at the end of November.

Things are constantly changing in the village to ensure there is always something fresh and new to see. Come down and see the chipmunks or make use of the picnic tables and beautiful views with a picnic. Most of the units are easily accessible and there are disable toilet facilities available.
