Reading Buses announced today they are doubling the number of buses on The London Line 702 and Flightline 703 routes.
The changes, which take effect on March 25, will see up to four buses an hour between Windsor, Slough and Langley during the morning and evening peaks. The operator has also thoroughly reviewed The London Line 702 and Flightline 703 timetables and will introduce additional resources designed to help ensure services run on time.
Reading Buses Chief Executive Officer Robert Williams said today: “We are delighted to confirm that the new timetables are in response to growing customer numbers and are being introduced in time for the busy Easter holidays.
“The new timetables will include extra buses in the morning from London towards Windsor and Legoland, as well as additional journeys back in the evening.”
Additional buses will also be available for commuters in the morning and evening, travelling towards London. From March 25, services will depart London up to every 30 minutes at busy times. Flightline 703 will see an increase in the number of journeys that run from Bracknell to Heathrow. In the morning and evening from March 25, buses will run up to every 30 minutes along the route and continue every 30 minutes between Slough and Heathrow throughout the day.
To offer a round-the-clock service between Heathrow and Slough, Flightline 703 will also offer more early morning journeys between midnight and 3.00 a.m. To help improve punctuality, journeys on both services are changing, with some departing earlier or later. The new timetables, available to download shortly, are now on the Reading Buses journey planner.
In addition to the timetable changes, Reading Buses has introduced three additional brand-new high-spec buses for Flightline 703 to supplement vehicles introduced last year and support the continued growth of the route. These vehicles feature spacious and comfortable seating, USB and wireless charging, and dedicated luggage space.
