Mother’s Day Weekend at Hever Castle

Spoil mum on Mother’s Day with a memorable family day out and meal at Hever Castle & Gardens. The romantic castle in Kent is the perfect place to treat mum to a delicious meal and enjoy quality family time together.

Young visitors can even decorate a flower pot in a free craft workshop to give mum on her special day, as well as join a biscuit decorating workshop* (*£1.50 in addition to admission).

The elegant Guthrie Pavilion Restaurant situated in the Italian Gardens overlooking the lake offers an unlimited three course ‘Chef’s Table’ menu. Choose from a selection of starters including pea and asparagus soup, smoked halibut and smoked mackerel with horseradish cream, sweet onion tart glazed with goat’s cheese, antipasti platter and a selection of salads.

A tasty Sunday roast from the Carvery Table is always a treat, especially when mum hasn’t had to cook it herself! Diners can help themselves to roast loin of pork or roast sirloin of English beef with all the trimmings and a vegetable selection, or try the vegetarian choice of stuffed mushrooms with onion gravy.

And if you’ve still room to indulge in dessert, there’s rhubarb crumble, white chocolate cheesecake with crushed raspberry compote and Eton mess with fresh strawberries and meringues. Add to this the complimentary glass of Prosecco or non-alcoholic cocktail on arrival for a family meal to remember.

An Afternoon Tea Menu is also available offering freshly prepared sandwiches served to the table and a mouth-watering variety of cakes. These are followed by hot and cold beverages including fruit infusions and homemade orangeade.

Lunch is served from 12noon – 13.30pm or from 2.00pm – 3.30pm. The unlimited 3 course Mother’s Day Lunch* costs £26.00 per person or £10.00 for the Children’s menu (up to 12 years). The Afternoon Tea Menu* costs £15.00 per person or £7.50 per child (up to 12 years) and is served from 4.00pm – 5.30pm. Both menu options must be pre-booked by 10th March. The menu is subject to change and guests will receive a permit to park later than the usual 4.30pm exit time.
