Over this past week the news about growing infection rates of the new Omicron variant continues to circulate and England is moving to Plan B in response to the risks of the Omicron variant.
With the government recommendations to work from home and meet outdoors if possible, we have taken a positive decision to postpone Excursions 2022 until 19th March 2022.
The show will remain at its new venue of Twickenham Stadium and will bring together over 150 exhibitors from around the UK and near Europe to meet in person with Group Travel Organisers throughout the industry.
The safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff remain our first priority but we also want to ensure that Excursions is a productive, and beneficial show for all participants. We are confident that a move to March will bring a higher visitor footfall, and that these visitors will be in a stronger position to plan and book their events. It will also co-inside with English Tourism Week
Excursions has been a fixture in the Group Travel Organisers’ diary for over 47 years and we are committed to kick-starting the year for the sector. The programme of virtual fam trips from 24 January – 28 January 2022 will continue as planned enabling GTO’s to virtually explore a selection of destinations ahead of the main event.
More information about main show at Twickenham Stadium in March will be released to both visitors and exhibitors in the New Year. In the meantime, please revise the date in your diaries, stay safe and enjoy the festive season.
