Pensthorpe, a leading destination for nature lovers and families in Norfolk, is thrilled to announce its exceptional performance during the Easter holiday period.

Despite facing challenges such as unpredictable weather and one fewer day compared to the previous year, Pensthorpe saw remarkable growth in terms of visitors.

Compared to Easter 2023, Pensthorpe experienced a significant surge in footfall, marking a remarkable 16% increase. Moreover, the attraction witnessed a substantial increase of 45% in admission income, indicating strong visitor engagement and satisfaction. This suggests a promising year ahead as we head into peak visitor season, with May Half Terms and the Summer Holidays on the horizon.

Visitors to Pensthorpe made the most their day out at the North Norfolk visitor attraction, by making sure they also visited the onsite cafe and gift shop. Figure show a 32% increase on the previous year’s Easter break for the Cafe. With the gift shop showing an uplift of 12% on the previous school holiday in 2023. These impressive results demonstrate Pensthorpe’s ability to provide enriching experiences and offerings that resonate with visitors.

Ben Marshall, General Manager at Pensthorpe, said, “We are delighted to see such outstanding results for the Easter holiday period, “Despite facing some challenges, our team’s dedication and hard work, combined with the support of our visitors, have led to this success. We are grateful for everyone’s contribution to making this Easter season a memorable one.”

The figures didn’t just highlight how well Pensthorpe performed this Easter break; visitor feedback was also hugely positive.

“Just to say, WOW! Numerous times today, I was just blown away by how absolutely beautiful it was. The children had the most wonderful time exploring and playing. They all enjoyed pond dipping. The whole day was just amazing, every member of your team, were all so friendly. Being a solo parent, days out are expensive, but today, I feel like every single penny we spent was so worth it. Thank you all for such a wonderful day out. Very much looking forward to our next visit.” Review left via Facebook

“Really, really good. I loved it as the whole family was happy. There were great play areas for the kids (indoors and outdoors) then some really nice walks and bird watching for the parents which the kids also loved. It was brilliant! Can’t remember the cost but seemed very reasonable and was a whole day activity.” Review left via Google

“This place is a little gem. Fantastic staff, so friendly, and the whole place is so maintained. The indoor play is stunning, and the staff was amazing at keeping the place clean each season. We will definitely be continuing back. 😊 Truly well done to the whole team, and keep up the fantastic work.” Review left via TripAdvisor
