Bookings will begin to flow after a special group showcase at the RHS Bridgewater Garden in Manchester on 13 May.
Arranged by Daish’s Holidays https://www.daishs.com/groups working in conjunction with Steve Reed Tourism Ltd, the Group Travel Day took place in brilliant sunshine and attracted GTOS and coach and tour operators from all over the country. RHS Bridgewater Garden is the most recent garden to be opened to the public by the Royal Horticultural Association.
A variety of attractions were there in force to meet the tour planners during a ‘meet the tour buyer’ exhibition. These included Ena Mill Retail from Atherton in Greater Manchester; the Olympus Restaurant in Bolton; Tatton Park in Cheshire; Elizabeth Gaskell’s House in Manchester; Showtown in Blackpool; the Auckland Project and Kynren from County Durham; Lake District Estates; Chester Zoo; The Lowry; Windermere Lake Cruises and The Trentham Estate. The event also included the Confederation of Passenger Transport [CPT].
The attendees enjoyed guided tours of the garden and took in a prize draw for GTOS put together by Daish’s Holidays.
The event at the RHS Bridgewater Garden was one of a series of get-togethers coordinated by Daish’s Holidays and Steve Reed Tourism. These have included top attractions such as Samlesbury Hall in Lancashire, the Black Country Living Museum in the Midlands, Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey, and the latest Group Travel Day, scheduled for Monday, 28 October, at the Coventry Transport Museum.
‘We like to meet group travel organisers around the country at our Group Travel Day events,’ says Martin Jenkins of Daish’s Holidays. The set pieces are free to attend and are always great fun! Many thanks to the RHS team for their help in providing the top class venue for the special occasion.’
