Ripley’s Believe It or Not! London in major Paddington Trail initiative

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! London is proud to announce its support of this year’s Paddington Trail, raising money for children’s charity NSPCC.

The Paddington Trail is a major initiative across London this Christmas put together by the NSPCC, VisitLondon.com and Studio Canal to mark the release of The Paddington Movie in UK cinemas on 28 November 2014. Designed by a host of artists, designers and celebrities, 50 Paddington Bear statues will be placed across the capital in an exciting and inspiring trail.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not London’s statue has been carefully designed to incorporate both the essence of Paddington with the Ripley’s brand signature ‘quirkiness’. Paddington is celebrated as a young, adventurous explorer, similar to the Ripley’s famous founder Robert Ripley who travelled to 201 countries in search of the odd and inspirational. Based in the heart of Piccadilly Circus, visitors to the Ripley’s London’s Paddington statue can enjoy his favourite city by exploring the wonderful art, culture, innovation and entertainment around them.

Natascha Crump, General Manager at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! London said “We are absolutely delighted to be taking part in the Paddington Trail initiative. As an attraction based on its love of exploration and adventure, we cannot think of a better partner than Paddington who is indeed a young explorer himself, like many of the guests who pass through our doors every day.”

The Ripley’s Believe It or Not! London bear is a three foot six inch tall statue, which will be auctioned later in the year to raise money for charity partners including the NSPCC; a charity whose work is all about protecting vulnerable children and making them safe through its services including ChildLine.
