Rossendale’s alive, plan a visit with your coach group

Rossendale’s alive with charming Lancashire markets, so enjoy a slice of local life and make a date to visit the valley’s 3 markets in Bacup, Rawtenstall and Haslingden

With over specialist stalls and over thousands of lines you’ll find it hard to leave empty handed.  Our 3 fantastic local markets, being close to Bury market, provide a great opportunity for a fantastic market experience.

Rawtenstall Market has been serving the community for over 100 years.  It has a market hall and outdoor market with a variety of interesting and unique stalls, from fresh local and international produce to clothing, baking supplies and haberdashery.  There’s a welcoming café, hot food takeaways including Thai food, and a traditional sweet stall.  The market is fully accessible with free car parking to the rear and toilet facilities.

Bacup Market is a traditional outdoor market with a contemporary feel.  The market’s stalls include fresh meat and fish, toys, shoes, a specialist bakery, clothing and accessories, plants, bedding and wool.  There’s also a café with a range of hot and cold food.  The market is fully accessible and has toilet facilities.  Free car parking is available throughout the town centre.  The market also hosts a very popular Vintage, Retro and Crafts Market on the second Saturday of every month.

Haslingden Market is a real hidden gem, with a combination of cabins and open stalls. Open 2 days a week with stalls, ranging from fresh fish, fruit and vegetables from the regular to the exotic, cooked meats, cheeses, clothing, second hand goods and cards and stationery.

The fantastic thing about all of Rossendale’s markets is that they are in all in close proximity to our thriving local towns where you can shop from independent retailers to your hearts content.

Our markets also often hold themed events, particularly at Easter, Christmas and our superbly popular 60s festival in September, so keep your eye out for those.

The traders offer a warm and friendly welcome and remember parking is free at all 3 markets.  The markets are open on selected days from 09.00hrs to 16.00hrs.
