Serco NorthLink Ferries has announced two new special offers to launch early in 2015. From January 2, the ‘Kids Go Free’ promotion will see children travel for free on direct Lerwick to Aberdeen and Aberdeen to Lerwick routes. Available to islanders and non-islanders, it is open for travel all year round to families who book a car and cabin.
‘Landbridge’ launches on January 3 and will enable passengers to travel from Lerwick to Kirkwall routing through Stromness to Scrabster at a special rate. The offer also covers the Hamnavoe bed and breakfast route. Passengers will have the relaxing option of spending the night on board the Hamnavoe on the bed and breakfast offer before the 06:30am sailing, getting into Scrabster at 08:00am.
Stuart Garrett, Managing Director at Serco NorthLink Ferries, said: “Everyone looks forward to bringing in a New Year, but it is great to welcome 2015 with these terrific offers.
“Our Kids Go Free offer could save families up to 12 per cent on their bookings, while Landbridge will enable Shetlanders travelling to the mainland to take the ferry and routing through to Stromness before catching the Hamnavoe to Scrabster.
“It looks like 2015 will be busy for NorthLink Ferries and on behalf of all the team I’d like to wish all our new and returning passengers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
