After initial fears and the announcement that the 2025 Spalding Flower Parade was cancelled, we are pleased to say it will take place now. We received the following press release from the event’s committee:-
PRESS RELEASE – FUTURE OF SPALDING FLOWER PARADE
After a positive meeting with South Holland District Council, relationships have been renewed, and we have their full support on a venue and road closures. This means it fills us with absolute joy to announce that the Spalding Flower Parade in 2025 will be going ahead.
As this news is still fresh and we carry on with our transition process, we cannot yet confirm the exact location or date for the 2025 parade. We are working closely with South Holland District Council to find a suitable venue for all to enjoy, which they have promised us will happen within the next couple of weeks. We hope to be able to announce this within due course, so please keep updated by following our official socials.
The ever-important challenges remain on volunteers and the £80,000 needed, but we’re sure you’ll all be behind us. We will be running lots of events and fundraising campaigns across the year.
