Investment made ahead of the 2025 coach season.

Edinburgh-based coach tour operator Timberbush Tours has made a significant investment to enhance and upgrade its coach fleet ahead of the commencement of its 2025 coach tour season.

Timberbush Tours, which specialises in day and multi-day coach trips across Scotland and the North of England as well the private and corporate travel sectors, has placed orders totalling £2.5million for seventeen new coaches.The new vehicles, from manufacturers MAN, as well as agents BASE Coach Sales and Coachtraders are scheduled for delivery in March and early April.

MAN is providing 2×53 seat Neoplan Tourliner Coaches, the BASE order is for 4×32 seat MAN Midi Explorers, with the remaining 11 vehicles –Mercedes Sprinter Coaches from Coachtraders, the Scottish agents for Mercedes Unvi, the Spanish based passenger vehicle manufacturer.

Timberbush has opted for 6 x 19 seat Mercedes Sprinters 517 CDI Unvi conversions – 4 x 16 seat Mercedes Sprinters 517 CDI Unvi conversions and 1 x 10 seat Mercedes Sprinters 417 CDI Paramount conversions from the West Lothian-based agent.

The vehicles will be distributed across its three Scottish locations – Inverness, Glasgow and its Granton, Edinburgh headquarters.

Commenting on the new investment round, Steve Spalding, CEO of Timberbush Tours, believes that the company’s policy of procuring the most fuel-efficient and environmentally sound coaches available further heightens the company’s sustainability ethos, where a strict environmental policy is mandatory in every procurement decision.
