With its combination of amazing animals, exciting theme park rides and awesome exhibits, West Midland Safari Park is the ultimate day out. So, here’s our top five picks of what not to miss on your next group visit.
- 1. Safari Drive-Through
The four-mile self-drive safari is home to some of the world’s most beautiful and critically endangered animals. Split into African and Asian areas, almost all the animals are free-roaming and can literally walk straight past your car. There is also the chance to glimpse not one, but two new baby Giraffe calves!
- 2. African Walking Trail
New for 2022, guests can make their way up the trail to see a range of incredible animals on-foot for the first time in the Safari’s history! Gaze at the elegant herd of giraffes from the Savannah Viewpoint and keep an eye out for the youngest White Rhino calves as they playfully bound around!
- 3. Discovery Trail
The walk-through Discovery Trail is a brilliant all-weather attraction, hosting several animal exhibits, a variety of encounters, talks and shows and a virtual reality river ride. Be sure to check out their fantastic Sealion Show!
- 4. Tiger Tropics
The park’s newest attraction brings guests just a whisker away from its two Sumatran Tigers, where guests will be able to see the tigers on foot for the first time. With two different viewpoints, guests can get closer than ever before to Nakal and Dourga, as they explore their new home.
- 5. Adventure Theme Park
If a whole host of animal attractions wasn’t enough, they also have a theme park to make your day even more exciting. The Adventure Theme Park is open daily during the summer season and has a variety of rides, suitable for all. From traditional rides showcasing ‘all the fun of the fair’, to water rides and rollercoasters, there is something for everyone.
