Opened in June 2017, The REME Museum is a modern interactive military Museum displaying the proud story of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. There are 8 galleries to explore, plus the excellent Crowns Cafe.
The Museum was awarded the VisitEngland Gold Accolade in 2023, having been awarded the Hidden Gem Accolade four times in previous years”, and is a superb Museum for any group to visit. The Museum presents a group-only offer to choose to add to your visit: a guided tour of the Reserve Collection Hangar, home to the UK’s largest collection of military repair and recovery vehicles; a behind-the-scenes tour of the Archives, including meeting the Museum Archivist; or an expert-led guided tour of the museum galleries.”
