A Traditional Market Town with So Much More

Located in the beautiful Welland valley on the borders of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire the picturesque town of Market Harborough is “one of the jewels of the East Midlands” and boasts many varied attractions for the group travel visitor.

Home to the King’s armies in the civil war, original home of Thomas Cook, travel agent and originator of the idea of group travel and William Symington’s world-famous soup, coffee and corset factories, the town boasts a wealth of history.

Sights range from the towns famous 16th Century stilted Grammar school and 14th century St Dionysius Church to the modern museum housed in the former corset factory,

The bustling high street still retains a unique identity with a wealth of independent traders alongside national retailers.
