Hertfordshire’s new tourism website has received two digital awards.
Visit Herts picked up two gongs at the Hertfordshire Digital Awards on Thursday 22nd September for its brand new website www.visitherts.co.uk.
Visit Herts and the website designers Red Bullet received Gold for having the best Tourism and Hospitality Website, and also took Bronze for the best website of the night at the gala reception at The University of Hertfordshire.
The judges’ comments for the entry which won Gold in the ‘Tourism & Hospitality’ category revealed: “The key to this website’s success is its ability to introduce the visitor to new and engaging information, hammering home the core aims of educating and enlightening the public to the many delights of Hertfordshire.”
Visit Herts Chief Executive Sandra Matthews-Marsh MBE said: “We are obviously thrilled to have come home with not one but two awards for our new website.
“Both the Visit Herts team and the excellent designers at Red Bullet worked extremely hard to give Hertfordshire a tourism website that not only detailed what to see and do in the area, but also reflected what an elegant, exciting and simply stunning place to visit Hertfordshire is.
“The website is growing all the time with more and more investors joining us to spread the word about their offer. With this latest accolade, we trust that even more businesses will want to have a spot on our award-winning website!”
The Visit Herts website, www.visitherts.co.uk launched in June 2016, showcases everything Hertfordshire has to offer visitors and residents, from sensational sight-seeing to exciting events. Created by Red Bullet Web Design, the website features attraction listings, a live events calendar, accommodation and details on each of the county’s ten diverse districts.
Managing Director of Red Bullet Simon Wilson said: “We are really proud of our work with Visit Herts on their website. We were fortunate to be able to work with a great brand and some fantastic imagery, and it was a pleasure to bring together a site to showcase the great things Hertfordshire has to offer for visitors. We look forward to working with the team as their campaigns develop.”
This is the latest piece of good news for Visit Herts, as the organisation prepares to launch its autumn & Christmas 2FOR1 offers campaign with Govia Thameslink, and begins planning for the second Herts Big Weekend for 2017.
