Experience the incredible story behind the world’s most famous monster at The House of Frankenstein, located at 37 Gay Street Bath.

Mary Shelley lived and wrote Frankenstein in Bath at the age of 18. The House of Frankenstein invites visitors to discover the true origins of this incredible author’s unconventional tragic life and the lasting legacy of her infamous creation.

Bursting with unusual artefacts, emotive soundtracks, bespoke smells, and effects, it also features rooms dedicated to popular culture, an intimate screening room showing the first-ever Frankenstein film from 1910, a jaw-dropping 8-foot animated Creature recreated as Mary imagined, two themed Escape Rooms, and, for the braver visitor, a creepy walkthrough experience in the basement.
