Hardings Coach Company appointed by Leger Holidays to add two new vehicles
Following very positive sales of its escorted tours, Leger Holidays has appointed Worcestershire-based Hardings Coach Company to add additional vehicles to its popular Luxuria and Silver Service products.
Delivered by Hardings, the new VDL Luxuria vehicle and Mercedes Tourismo M (Silver Service) will come into operation from April 2016.
Hardings, which is based in Droitwich, is one of the UK’s leading Coach Operators specialising in providing coach holidays for many of the major tour operators offering holidays throughout Europe and Britain.
The VDL Luxuria joins an existing VDL Silver Service already in operation and the Mercedes Tourismo M which entered service in March 2015. Both VDL and Mercedes Tourismo are quality built vehicles with an excellent finish and are ideally suited to represent the Leger brand.
Leading to the addition of 30 new tours and the company’s biggest brochure to date, the success of 2015 will mean that more customers can benefit from the enhanced passenger comfort these vehicles provide.
Leger Holidays’ Luxuria coach, the first of its kind to be used in the UK, puts passenger well-being at the forefront and only seats a maximum of 31 in rows of three, meaning significantly wider seats and extra leg room.
The armchair-style seats, some facing into tables, also feature retractable calf rests, personal touch screen TVs, and plug and USB points so passengers can keep gadgets fully charged.
Paul McTiernan, Operations Director at Leger Holidays, said: “We are thrilled to be adding two new vehicles, marking the end of a successful year of trading for Luxuria. Holidays travelling by Luxuria coach completely sold out last year and 2016 breaks are already over half full, so we expect this year to be another huge success. Our Silver Service offering also continues to be popular so with the addition of a new coach, we hope to continue building on its success.”
Roger Dyson, Managing Director of Hardings Coach Company, said: “This is an exciting time in coach holiday travel and we are delighted to have been appointed by Leger to be part of this brand development, which I predict has a very strong future. With Leger’s customer base, I believe our new vehicle will be extremely popular and we look forward to seeing its success going forward.”
“2016 will see Hardings’ commitment to Leger Holidays continue, now with six vehicles in total, operating across a wide range of holidays and tours throughout Europe.”
Leger will be working closely with Hardings to recruit extra crew members and providing training and refresher courses to ensure that the vehicles are operated to the highest standard.
